UAE-History
ZDPL's foray into the above business, dates back to the late 90's, when it was engaged to advise the Fujairah (UAE) Government in setting up a 400 tpd Petrochemical plant, which covered extensive technical analysis, market research, financial structuring and supply chain management. The experience and expertise gained in the above exercise, opened up new vistas for the Group. Zoom is now exploring Investment Opportunities in the Petrochemicals Sector in China, which is a promising area of growth.
China Play
Zoom Enterprises, Sichuan Changhong Invt. Co. Ltd. Group and Sichuan Juida Salt Group Co. Ltd. have entered into an MO Agreement for jointly developing the following in China during 2006 -08
 PVC Plant – 150,000 tpa
Caustic Soda Plant – 120,000 tpa
Cement Plant of 200,000 tpa using Calcium Carbide and Limestone
Sichuan Shengma Chemical Ind, Daying County are operating a Fuel Oil Refinery of 800,000 tons pa. Capacity. Zoom will participate with Shengma to expand the existing facilities by 3.2 m tons pa. so as to reach the capacity of 4 million tons pa.
A good opportunity also exists to set-up a Coal-based, Mega Methanol Project in Anlong County, for which efforts are on to enter into an understanding between Zoom and Sichuan Chang for setting up a Coal based Mega Methanol Project Capacity 1.32m tons pa. of Coal based Methanol Plant with 0.52 tons pa. of MTP.
Iranian Opportunity
Similar efforts are underway with Iranian Authorities and Entrepreneurs to set-up a Fertilizer (NPC) Plant, to cater to growing markets. |
